Unum's new environmental, social and governance report highlights our commitment and that of our employees in the U.S., U.K., Ireland and Poland to making a difference in people’s lives.

According to data from Unum, long term disability claims for these conditions rose 40% over the last decade. The problem is even more pronounced in men, where these claims rose 62% since 2010.

The 2020 update provides new consumer sentiment and focuses on three keys to the adoption of mental health resources: awareness, education and early intervention.

Unum Group (NYSE: UNM) today reported net income of $161.0 million ($0.79 per diluted common share) for the first quarter of 2020, compared to net income of $280.9 million ($1.31 per diluted common share) for the first quarter of 2019.
